On weekday morning, a video showing Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University students performing an erotic dance spread through social media, drawing a torrent of negative comments.
In the footage, the scholars rub their groins against one another as they sharply dance to sexually implicit songs like Kluai Tub.
Internet users criticised the scholars, speech communication although the activity wasn't violent it absolutely was not acceptable.
After the tape went infectious agent, a student who claimed to possess taken participate within the rab nong ritual wrote that every one the female-looking dancers within the video were really ladyboys.
On weekday afternoon, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University president Luedech Kerdwichai told reporters that action are taken against all the scholars concerned.
"The students in the video clip have come out to apologise, but we will continue to investigate the issue. It should be concluded within two days," the rector said.
He said disciplinary points would be deducted and they could face suspension if the deduction exceeds the university's limit.
The university's hazing regulation decrees students are not allowed to touch each other, regardless of their gender.
