A video posted by a
concerned netizen how the street children mocked the security guard of
SM North EDSA-The Block for forbidding them asking for alms from mall
goers.
The said video was posted
by Lyka Gonzalez on Sunday, November 16. According to the caption of
the video, it was taken from SM North EDSA-The Block around 9 PM.
Gonzalez said that the street children got angry after the security guard forbids them to ask for alms from mall goers.
It can be seen in the
video how the girl in pink went inside the mall's glass door and became
violent,cursing the guard with foul words. The barefooted kid can also
be seen throwing a "stone" to the guard while people from the mall are
watching.
Meanwhile, commenters
praised the guard for controlling his temper not to fight back. Some of
them are blaming it to the Department of Social Welfare and Development
(DSWD) for not taking a corrective actions for these kids.
According to someone who
commented in the video, these kids are locally known as "batang
solvent" that can always be seen outside the mall firm.
The video is now viral
in social media Facebook, as of writing, it already gained more than 15
thousand shares and almost 1 million views.
